Edgegap & brainCloud Expands Their Collaboration to Simplify Multiplayer Game Development
New Integration Allows Multiplayer Game Developers with Easiest Integration to Add & Games Services & Game Server Hosting
Montréal & Ottawa, Canada (August 14, 2024) – Edgegap, gaming’s leading provider of automated and distributed game server orchestration, and brainCloud, the most flexible cloud-based back-end services platform for multiplayer games, are excited to announce an extension of their collaboration with an all-new seamless integration for multiplayer game studios. This collaboration promises to offer game developers the easiest and most reliable way to add, scale and maintain game services and server hosting, backed by hundred of millions of hours played on their respective platform.
Specifically, the integration allows game developers to use Edgegap’s game server orchestration directly from brainCloud’s developer portal, with dedicated server examples to ensure an easy integration process. Part of brainCloud’s 5.4 update, developers already using brainCloud's room/relay server system will be able to define an Edgegap server type and link it directly to their existing Lobby configurations.
"We are thrilled to partner with brainCloud and bring our combined strengths to game developers worldwide," said Philip Coté, CTO of Edgegap. "This collaboration enables us to provide a seamless and efficient solution for multiplayer game development, ensuring developers can focus on what they do best - creating fun, amazing games."

The platform offers a free tier and a pay-as-you-scale pricing model. Additionally, its patented orchestration on the world’s largest edge network allows for region-less hosting, latency reduction of up to 58%1, and removes the need for traditional DevOps.
